Sense of accomplishment may ensue...

Yes, I feel rather accomplished, having completed the bulk of my assignments for the week in just under six hours' work. So much more yet to do, though, and I am sure my professor is disgusted with me. My shoulders miss the circle of arms they have become accustomed to resting in over the past few months, and though this trial of scheduling for down time is most likely a good thing, it doesn't mean that I can't miss it.

Note to self: 'flu shots do not hurt until HOURS AFTER THE FACT. I am not entirely sure that the shot this afternoon was such a good idea, but oh well.

A scintillating sheen of frost greeted me upon returning to my car this evening, and I am reminded that, in spite of global warming, it still gets cold around this time of year. I will be breaking out the heavy-duty winter gear tonight, to let it have some air.

Friends and family are now insisting on getting hold of me, and one suggested getting smashed and smoking cloves this weekend, something I have not done in a long while...I do not think I am up to making my lungs bleed anytime in this life, and drinking myself into a stupor does not sound like fun at this point in time, given recent events.

I find myself wishing for warmer days gone by, for citrus tastes of summer and cold iced tea. How I wish to have done more hiking this year, more kayaking...just MORE. Quickly and indiscriminately, I tire of the various work sectors of the adult world that I have occupied, for however brief a time. Responsibility? Only because it's been bred into me.
